Having a mentally mind-fucked day! Just got the news today that a very close family friend has been killed in the line of duty in Iraq. A friend, who has no blood ties to me but IS family. We were raised together, both our families are military families. He is in essence my brother. Oh, God! There are just no words for how I am feeling right now!!
Hurt, enraged, deeply grieving, and tormented somehow just doesn't seem to come close!!
And yet I am still SOO DAMN PROUD of him! He died with HONOR defending the country that he loves!!
In the state of mind I am in I cannot do justice to the honer he deserves for the sacrifice he has made.
I still have a lot of family and friends fighting this war right now. I keep them in my heart and prayers every single day. I sincerely hope you ALL do too!
Please keep each and every last one of our troops in your prayers until they ALL come home....
BTW--If you are military and are reading this, Thank You. For all that you have done, and all that you do to keep us safe.
